Thank You- Letter from the Editor

Allison B. Hudson

I would like to thank everyone who supported me in my dancing debut for Dancing for a Cause for Community Opportunities of East Ascension (COEA) this past Saturday.

I raised over $15,000 and I could not have done that with out my major sponsors: Donaldsonville Chamber of Commerce, Demby & Sons Funeral Home, Mayor Leroy Sullivan, Phillip August, Marvin and Myra Gros, Lauthaught and Robyn Delaney, Donaldsonville Chief, Weekly Citizen, and Entergy. I would also like to thank everyone who took the time to vote online for me as their favorite dancer, and the many compliments I received.

The mission of COEA is to enhance the quality of life for persons with disabilities and their families through service and advocacy that support choice, independence and dignity.

The event was held to serve as a major fundraiser for COEA to continue to provide services for persons with disabilities.

Along with my fellow dancers, Glenda Shaheen, Charlotte Guedry, Stephen Allain, Mack Graves, Kelly Swarm, Trina Edwards, Christy Bourgeois, Mike Buturla, Arthur Scanlan, Tracey Normand, and Heather McClelland, I think I speak for all of us when I say we had a blast!

Dance practices were so much fun and full of high energy, I had the most amazing dance instructor, Leonard Augustus, and my fabulous dance partner, Le’Brian Patrick kept me on my toes! I will always remember them and the fun times we had together!

Lastly, I have to personally thank Sharon Morris, along with her staff that created this event and allowing us to participate in such a wonderful event.

Thanks to all, your support and monetary donations made this a successful event!

Respectfully,

Allison B. Hudson,

Editor in Chief
