Ascension Parish officials announced last Friday the roadside debris removal program in place for Hurricane Isaac is nearing completion.

If you have debris on the roadside that was missed during the first pass or has been put out since and is larger than what can fit in your regular garbage container for normal pickup, please contact Barbara LeBray at the Ascension Parish Department of Public Works by 5 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012. Residents will be added to a list for final cleanup. LeBray may be reached at 225-621-5730.

The program has been in place for all Ascension Parish residents excluding those that live in the City of Gonzales, or on state roads, federal roads or private roads.

“The parish’s roadside debris pickup program is nearing the end and we want to make sure everyone’s debris has been picked up,” said Ascension Parish Chief Engineer Ben Laurie.
