The Donaldsonville High School Tigers (1-5) football team losing woes continued as they gave up 50 points to the Class 3A sixth-ranked St. Charles Catholic Comets (3-2) in Boutte Stadium Friday night. The loss is the third straight for the Tigers. The final score was 50-6.

The Tigers finished the game with five turnovers, three fumbles lost, in their losing effort that only allowed DHS to put six points on the board.

DHS trailed 43-0 at halftime, but held the Comets to seven points for the remainder of the game.

The Tigers offense struggled against the Comets defense and was held to only six rushing yards.

Quarterback Leondre James threw for 210 yards and passed for the only Tiger touchdown when he connected with Stephen Sullivan on 17-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter.

The Comets defense forced James to throw two interceptions for the night, but the defense couldn't prevent James from surpassing the 1,000-yard mark on the season. He has 1,144 yards in six games this season.

Sullivan finished game with 12 catches for 139 yards.

The Tigers take on E.D. White this Friday at home. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. It is also the Breast Cancer Awareness game.
