Ascension Parish Government Christmas tree recycle event slated for Jan. 12-13

GONZALES – Ascension Parish Government will hold a Christmas tree recycle drop-off event on Saturday, Jan. 12 and Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013 at the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center in Gonzales. Drop-off hours will be from 9 a.m. till 1 p.m. on both days.

The expo center is located at 9039 St. Landry Road.

Parish officials said trees must not have any decorations or stands on them. Parish residents are required to provide a valid ID.

After entering the expo center's main gate, signs will direct residents to a roped-off drop-off zone in the parking lot in front of Arena D.
