Air Products donates to Volunteer Ascension organization

Air Products recently donated $10,000 to Volunteer Ascension for the organization’s relief efforts due to Hurricane Isaac. Present for the check donation were: L-R: Ascension Parish President, Tommy Martinez, Jobie Templet and Jeff Bellelo of Air Products, Sherry Denig of Volunteer Ascension, and District 81 State Representative, Clay Schexnayder.

Volunteer Ascension, where Volunteers are Changing Lives, is a local not-for-profit service organization that strives to positively impact the needs of Ascension Parish.  Since 1997, our mission has been to assist those who are in need by recruiting and training local volunteers who in turn reach out to help the needy in our community.  To date, through its volunteer based programs such as Community Services, ConnecTeens, Make A Difference Day, School Tools and School Uniforms, the organization has provided nearly $3 Million in services and supplies to those in need in Ascension Parish.  Patron Level Funders—Parish of Ascension, Atmos Energy Corporation, EATEL, Fab-Con, St. Elizabeth Hospital, and Whitney Bank.  Volunteer Ascension is a member of the Points of Light Institute/Hands on Network, and receives funding from the community and local private sector.
