CASA Volunteer Training
Are you trying to decide on your New Years Resolution? How about becoming a CASA Volunteer? Child Advocacy Services’ Ascension Parish CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) Program is looking for volunteers to be the voice for children in the community who have been victims of abuse and/or neglect. CASA depends on volunteers to make a difference in the lives of these innocent children. In the 23rd Judicial District Court (JDC), there were 101 children served in Ascension, 21 children served in Assumption and 6 children served in St. James Parishes in 2012. Thanks to our CASA Volunteers, partners, and community sponsors, Child Advocacy Services CASA program provided a total of 128 children with a committed and dedicated CASA Volunteer. Other children are waiting for a CASA volunteer. Will you be the voice for one of these children?
CASA training for Ascension Parish volunteers will begin at 6 p.m. on January 22, 2013 at the Child Advocacy Services office located 1026 E. Worthey Rd, Suite C, Gonzales, LA 70737. If you are interested in participating in this training please contact our office at (225) 647-2005 or email kmcadams@childadv.net. prior to January 15th.
