Excited about Apples

The only time you see a group of fifth and seventh grade students excited to get apples is when they don’t come in fruit baskets. The Ascension Catholic fifth and seventh graders received Apple iPads this week thanks to a generous grant donation.
Ascension Catholic launched the iPad program on Jan. 7 and the students will be able to have his and her own iPad from now until they graduate the 12th grade while enrolled at ACHS.
The students will be able to use their iPads during class time and their teachers will be using the iPads for interactive instruction. The students will be able to bring their iPads home for educational purposes as well.
Fifth grade teacher, Allison Lemann, talked about the excitement both she and the students are to receive a great new learning tool.
“I am very exciting to have this opportunity to teach with such current technology,” Lemann said. “We are all eager to explore the apps on our iPads.”
Business Manager and Development Director at ACHS, Troy LeBoeuf said when they announced to the students they were getting the iPads “they were going crazy.”
He said they asked if any of the kids had iPads, their own, only two kids had their own. Now they all do.
LeBoeuf added: “Thanks again to the donors for this generous donation.”
