On Thursday, December 20, the first graders at Belle Rose Primary School got a very special Christmas treat from the 6th grade class at Ascension Catholic Primary School.  Mrs. Barbara Thibaut, the librarian at Ascension Catholic Primary School, and Mrs. Sarah Truxillo, the 6th grade teacher, thought of a wonderful Christmas giving idea.  They wanted to give books to the first grade students at Belle Rose Primary.  The 6th grade ACMS students raised the money themselves through various projects, including making and selling bags of reindeer food.  Each first grade student received 3 books written by some of their favorite authors!  The older students read the books to the younger students, who were so excited to have their own books!  The first graders wrote thank you notes to the 6th graders when they got back to their classrooms.  It was a great experience in generosity and appreciation for everyone involved!
