CCFHC represents at health forum in D.C.

Capitol City Family Health Center's (CCFHC) Board of Director and Donaldsonville native, Rev. Charles Oatis, speaks to Senator David Vitter's staff regarding the need to pass the FY2013 Mikulski/Shelby Continuing Resolution in Washington, D.C.  Rev. Oatis, along with a large Louisiana delegation of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), participated in the annual National Association of Community Health Centers Policies and Issues Forum, March 21st -24th, 2013.  The proposed resolution contained funding language for FQHC operations to continue providing much needed primary care services to the medically underserved and the uninsured. During the conference the Louisiana association received news that the resolution passed and contained language for site and service expansion opportunities.
