Four more arrested in Jasmine homicide
Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Lt. Col. Bobby Webre reports four more arrests in connection with the homicide of 19-year-old Brisecon Jasmine that occurred in Donaldsonville on Sunday, July 14.
On Sunday evening, July 14, deputies were dispatched to Dville Village apartments in Donaldsonville in reference to a large fight, but when deputies arrived there was no fight located. A short while later deputies received a call regarding possible shots fired in Dville Village. Deputies located Brisecon Jasmine with a gunshot wound to the back of the head. Jasmine was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased during the night July 15.
On Wednesday evening, the homicide investigation continued, detectives developed several other suspects involved in the shooting of Jasmine.
On Wednesday night, July 17, the following were arrested:
Andre Dunn, 19, of 948 St. Patrick Street, Donaldsonville, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder. He was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail awaiting bond.
Chandon “Tonka” Nelson, 19, of 8462 Kingview St., St. James, was arrested and charged with principal to second-degree murder. He was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail awaiting bond.
Two juveniles were also charged with principal to second-degree murder. They were both booked into the Assumption Juvenile Detention Center.
