Ronald “Rocky” Morris Fire Station Dedication Recognized

Ascension Parish President Tommy Martinez proclaimed Monday, Sept. 9, 2013 as a “Day of Dedication of the Ronald “Rocky” Morris Fire Station.” President Martinez read the proclamation aloud during the Ascension Parish Council meeting on Sept. 5 in Donaldsonville. Morris joined the McCall-Palo Alto Fire Department in 1980 and served there and with the Donaldsonville Fire Department. Tragically, Morris lost his life during an industrial accident at C.F. Industries on June 14, 2013. He had worked for C.F. Industries for over 35 years and served on the Rescue Team and Fire Brigade. A dedication of the Ronald “Rocky” Morris Fire Station took place on Monday, Sept. 9 at 6 p.m. The fire station is located at 1428 Hwy. 1 South in Donaldsonville.
