Rings that bling

The DHS Girls Track and Field 2013 LHSAA State Champions show off their rings at the DHS versus Assumption High game Friday night at the Floyd Boutte Memorial Stadium.

The Donaldsonville High School Louisiana High Sports Athletic Association (LHSAA) 3A Girl’s Track and Field State Championship team was presented with its championship rings on Friday night during halftime of the DHS football game against Assumption High.

The team scored 58 points to win the 3A state title at the Bernie Moore Stadium in Baton Rouge on May 4.

The team was led by four seniors – three of which are continuing track careers at the collegiate level – a sophomore and a freshman.

The head coach is Jimmy Joseph.
