Donaldsonville soccer club director Mark Peters presented Lowery Middle School principal Nicole Grimes with soccer balls to help the schools’ teams this season.

Donaldsonville Soccer Club director Mark Peters donated 16 new Nike soccer balls to the Lowery Middle School to help its program. Principal Nicole Grimes accepted the balls on behalf of the school.

LMS has had boys’ and girls’ middle school soccer teams for the past three years and with Peters’ donation, the kids will be able to work on skills of the game and not have to worry about balls. Peters’ soccer club has helped develop kids in Donaldsonville and surrounding communities on the west side of the parish for the last 10 years.

“Anything we can do with and for our middle school kids to help, assist, or encourage them, we will.” Peters said.

Grimes said she thanks Peters and his club for his “awesome” donation and all he does for the school through volunteering and donations.

“Through collaboration with our community partners, our kids truly benefit from real-world experiences and community support,” Grimes said.
