DHS JAG program students toured Xavier University to learn about college life and network in a real life situation with campus leaders.

The DHS JAG program took students to tour the Xavier University of Louisiana to give the students an opportunity to learn about college life.

“The JAG program has really focused a lot this year on getting our kids out and on these college campuses,” Tarleshia Miles said, JAG Coordinator.

Miles said giving the students an opportunity to experience being on the college campuses can spark their interest and push to possibly make it here after graduating high school.

At Xavier, the students were able to tour the campus and meet some campus leaders.

Miles added, “It’s just a way for us to help them learn social skills and how to network in the real world.”
