Belle Rose student competes at state social fair

Kierra Tayshawn Wilson, a fifth grade honor student at Belle Rose Middle competed in Nicholls State University’s Region X Social Fair on February 24. Her project entitled, “The Resilient Pueblos,” ensured her entry to the state level held at Burton Coliseum in Lake Charles, La. Though her poised presentation and hand-made model she made history by placing first at state level competition on May 6. Kierra is the daughter of Shawn and Shantung Fleming-Wilson. She has certainly raised the bar we look forward to next year’s competition.
