Donaldsonville Teen Summit set for July 24
The Donaldsonville Teen Summit 2014:Part 1 serves as the catalyst in a series of Teen Summits that will bring a variety of youth crime prevention activities and programs to the community. Part 1 of the Summit is developed by community leaders, parents, elected officials, and individuals from music industry who are concerned about then rise in violence and use of synthetic drugs in Donaldsonville and the surrounding communities. Part 2 will be developed by the youth who will be given an opportunity to develop strategies to make their communities safer and more productive for the next generation.
The event will be held on Thursday, July 24 at the Lemann Center located at 100 Clay Street in Donaldsonville, La. The time of this event is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This event is free and open to the public. Recommended ages are 10-19. Join us for this day of live music, entertainment, $25 gift certificates, giveaways, and lunch. Sponsors needed.
