Louisiana Country Roots: Music of Louisiana’s Country Music Legends

Country music aficionados!  Local musician, Jim Bullion performs his Louisiana Country Roots show at the Ascension Parish Library in Dutchtown on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at 6 p.m.  The show tells the history of Louisiana’s contributions to the country music industry in story and song and features such greats as Webb Pierce, Faron Young, Jimmie Davis, and many more!  To paraphrase the Blues Brothers:  We got both kinds of music; Country and Western.

Well-known to Ascension, Mr. Bullion has performed locally for 35 years as a regular at the Alligator Bar, and as a feature at the Elephant Stomp for the Louisiana Republican Party.
