Recycle; To Save or Not to Save?

The DAARC Recycle program has been in existence since 1994.  There has been very few times since its existence that it has not serviced the local community. We serve the local community by providing a no cost cardboard recycle program to over 30 business locations in the Donaldsonville Area.  However, that all changed in June when the service was disrupted due to the baler being out of service.  For the first time in many years the community was faced with no cardboard recycling.

After waiting two weeks for a repair company, we turned once again to the great community of Donaldsonville to assist us in getting this service back up and running.  We would like to extend a “HUGE “thank you to Lemann’s Farm supply. A “Special Thank You” to Tattoo (Todd Himel) who was determined to get the baler up and running.

As of Friday, July 18 the recycle program is back in business.  Despite the struggles of keeping this program going, it does provide work opportunities and community integration for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  Again thank you to Mr. Jay and Lemann’s Farm Supply!!!!  We thank all the businesses of Donaldsonville for your patience and understanding during our recent interruption to the Card Board Recycle program at Donaldsonville Area Arc.
