DHS JAG Program visits ITT Technical campus

The Donaldsonville High JAG program continues to expose students to life after and outside of high school. Earlier this month, the program took its students to the ITT Technical campus in Baton Rouge to show those students who are interested in learning a technical trade what to expect in the years to come.

JAG program director, Tarleshia Miles, said the students always respond better after they see what is required of them to get where they want to get.

“We tell them everyday what it takes to be successful, but until they are on these campuses and see first hand it just doesn’t click to them,” Miles said. “Our program is designed to get the kids to think beyond DHS’ walls and find other things that are interesting and productive for them to get into.”
