Jarvis Green is a retired professional athlete who has had the distinguished honor of being a two time Super Bowl Champion with the New England Patriots organization from 2002-2010. He also played with the Denver Broncos, and the Houston Texans before retiring in 2011 from the National Football League. Jarvis attended Louisiana State University and graduated in 2002 with a degree in Construction Management/ Engineering. However being born and raised down south, he’s always had a passion for food as he was a brief contestant on Master Chef Season 2 (random fun fact).
At the present moment, I’m involved with Acoustic Engineering of Florida as a liaison for Business Development and Strategic Initiatives in our New Orleans division. His primary job is to seek new working relationships in the state of Louisiana and to expand our new office and provide quality work that Acousti has been giving the past 70 years.
In addition to his dedication and passion of giving back, he founded the Jarvis Green Foundation, which is dedicated to providing support to single working mothers in disadvantaged, low-income areas and to supporting victims of Hurricane Katrina. In 2006, Jarvis donated $25,000 to Michelle Jefferson, a single mother from New Orleans, to assist with her recovery after Katrina. Present day, his foundation is revitalizing and rebuilding adjudicated properties in South Louisiana that have been destroyed by Hurricane Katrina and we continue to assist single mothers with purchasing homes. He also hosts annual events to raise money for his foundation. In November 2008, he hosted had his second annual wine tasting gala at the Johnson & Wales Inn in Seekonk, Mass. He also had the pleasure of bringing his wine tasting gala to his home state of Louisiana in 2010. The events are supported by many of my former teammates and raise money for the Jarvis Green Foundation.
