Lowery Middle announces Science Fair winners

Lowery Middle School Science Fair Coordinators Robert Foster and Jennifer Blanchard announced on Jan. 28 winners of respective categories and overall winners for the school’s second annual science fair.

The winners are as follows:

For the overall school level, first place to Ta’kia Mollere, second place to Deondre Smith, and third place to Kailyn Phillips.

In the Earth and Planetary Science category, first place to Prelliana Wilson, second place to Kierra Victor, and third place to Quandarrio Toussant.

In the Biochemistry category first place Breona Winfrey, second N’Kayley Cayette, and third place to Tionne Kelly.

In the Chemistry category first place to Ta’kia Mollere, second place to Seannae Wilson, and third place to Chazz Brown.

In the Bioengineering and Materials category, first place to Deandre Smith, second place to Kailyn Phillips, and third place to Charles Brown, Jr.

In the Physics category, first place to Eric White, second place to Alyric Asberry, and third place to Logan Lewis.

In the Plant Science category, first place to Jada Butler, second place to Samantha Bourg, and third place to Jaden Cheatem.

In the Engineering: Electrical and Mechanical category, first place to Michael Joseph, second place to Denzel Smith, and third place to Ladarren Kensie.

In the Behavioral Science and Social category, first place to Dajanae Chatman, and second place Lyndria Spurlock.

All first place winners will be eligible to compete at Regionals competition in February.

Judges for the fair were Wanda August of Ascension Parish School Board, Joseph Blanchard of East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office computer operations deputy, John Rogers a Retired Staff Environmental Scientist at Department of Environmental Quality, and DeRon Talley of Donaldsonville Chief.
