David M. LeBlanc was named 2014 Ascension Catholic High School Alumnus of the Year at the Diocese of Baton Rouge Catholic Schools Distinguished Graduate Awards dinner on Jan. 26 at the Renaissance Hotel.

He represented Ascension Catholic High School well as he was the guest speaker at this event.

LeBlanc has been a vital part of Ascension Catholic for the past thirty plus years as the “Voice of the Bulldogs” at all football games. He has served as “Master of Ceremonies” for many events. Leblanc’s family holds a rich tradition here at Ascension Catholic where he and his wife Rhonda are graduates as well as his children and his siblings.

The Diocese of Baton Rouge Catholic Schools Distinguished Graduate Awards dinner is among the highlights of Catholic Schools Week each year. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Melanie B. Verges and Assistant Superintendent Michael Miller presented the awards.
