Anderson named manager at Wal-Mart

Donaldsonville’s Wal-Mart location has named Zina Anderson as its store manager. Anderson is a native of Luling but spent her work years at Wal-Mart’s Kenner location where she worked her way from being a cashier to now having her own store. Since being in Donaldsonville she has already picked up a feel for this community.

“This area is real family oriented and everybody knows everybody and have a care and concern for each other,” Anderson said. “It’s a great community to be in and be introduced in as my first store.”

Anderson said she just wants to take the store a little further and get “us more involved in the community.”

“I want to get in programs that reach to the schools, and the youth,” Anderson said. “We’re going to meet the needs of the community in the store and outside of the store.”

Anderson’s first initiative for the store was to clean it up.

“Nobody wants to shop where it’s dirty,” Anderson said. “First impression is the best impression and we’re going to have that clean environment for customers when they walk in the store.”
