Ascension Catholic student does community service

Nydia Cooper, Ascension Catholic Jr. Beta Reporter

An Ascension Catholic Jr. Beta student did community service like none other. Garrison Landry, a 7th grade student, painted flowerpots on the sidewalks in the City of Donaldsonville. His art and efforts stood out so that the Donaldsonville Donaldsonville Downtown Development District and Donaldsonville Mainstreet sent a letter of recogonition for his exceptional work.

They wrote, “We are prod to have Garrison Landry take on a project in the Mainstreet District. We have over 25 concrete planters that are ready for spring planting. Garrison took on the challenge of freshening up the green planter and giving a new, bright coat of green enamel paint. These planters will be replanted on April 25, 2015.”

As a 7th grade student he has showed he can change the commuity.

“We, Ascension Catholic Jr. Beta are glad to acknowledge Landry for a job well done. Our beta club will be aftected by his community service project to try to help our community and world.”
