DHS students wins JDC scholarship

The 23rd Judicial District Bar Association has announced a Donaldsonville High School graduate as one of its annual scholarship award recipients.

Jasmine Worley from Donaldsonville High School has received $1000 from the association. The funds for these scholarships are comprised of donations from attorneys and judges who are members of the 23rd JDC Bar Association. Worley plans to attend LSU and major in business.

Since 2006, the Bar Association has provided annual scholarships to qualified applicants graduating from high schools located in the Parishes of Ascension, Assumption and St. James. Additional recipients are Blaire Laiche from East Ascension High School, Leslie Pennison from Assumption Parish High School and Avarie Louque from Lutcher High School.
