DHS senior presented Saintsation Spirit Award

     NEW ORLEANS - On Dec. 24, during the New Orleans Saints pre-game show, Al Groos, General Manager, Royal Sonesta and Lesslee Fitzmoris, Director, New Orleans Saintsations presented Tamiko Stroud, a Donaldsonville High School Senior with the 2016-17 Spirit Award. 

     "I am honored to be chosen to receive the Spirit Award from the Saintsations and the Royal Sonesta. If you know me, you know my passion is to dance," Stroud said. "It was a pleasure meeting the Mr. Groos, Ms. Fitzmorris, and the Saintsations. It was also exciting being on the field surrounded by the New Orleans Saints players, staff and fans and we won!"

     The purpose of the Spirit Award is to honor a qualified high school student who has a passion for dance, community involvement and academic achievement with a $1500 monetary donation to pursue a degree at a four-year college or university of the recipient's choice.

     Stroud plans to attend Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge in the fall.
