Jerome Fournier, Director of Office of Planning and Development for Ascension Parish was the guest speaker for last week’s Donaldsonville Rotary Club meeting. Fournier is a member of the flood planning committee and indicated that they were in the planning stages for infrastructure of drainage at the time the east side flooding occurred.

He spoke about the insurance offered by the government for those homeowners located in what is considered flood zones.
