Donaldsonville area leaders received update information from Entergy’s representative Deana Lafont on the power outage affecting the area after the tornado that hit on last Tuesday.

Lafont said nearly 4,500 customers were without power and that Entergy was doing its best to restore it.

Celebrating Black History

Buena Vista Baptist Church celebrated Black History month with a program entitled “Freedom,” conducted by the youth of the church. Rev. Darryl Smith, pastor of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, was the guest speaker, delivering a powerful message of “this is only a test and my answer is yes.”
