Assumption arrest made for aggravated second degree battery

Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Elvis Richard, 60, of 100 Pleasant Lane, Belle Rose, LA, on Wednesday in connection with an incident occurring on August 6, 2017.

On August 6, 2017, deputies responded to a complaint off of LA 308 in the Belle Rose area in which the complainant advised that Richard struck her in the head with a piece of pipe. Deputies did observe physical injuries to the alleged victim.

On August 9, 2017, Deputies located and interviewed Richard. Based on that interview as well as evidence recovered on August 6, 2017, deputies arrested Richard, transported him to the Assumption Parish Detention Center where he was booked on:

*Aggravated Second Degree Battery (1 Count)
