Assumption arrests August 21

Narcotics arrests/ traffic stop
Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports two arrests early Tuesday evening following a traffic stop on LA 401 near Napoleonville.
Narcotics agents executed a traffic stop on a vehicle after observing the automobile commit a traffic violation. Agents identified the driver as Rene T. Levario, Jr., 25, of 141 Scott Drive, Napoleonville, LA and the passenger as Bradley Grisaffe, 22, of 304 Canal Street, Napoleonville, LA.
While questioning the driver, agents detected an odor of marijuana emitting from Levario and the suspect vehicle. Both subjects were patted down for officer safety. While searching Levario, agents did recover a quantity of suspected marijuana, methamphetamine and assorted drug paraphernalia.
During the search of Grisaffe, agents seized a quantity of Oxycodone, Hydrocodone and drug paraphernalia. Additional paraphernalia was recovered from the vehicle.
Both suspects were arrested, transported to the Assumption Parish Detention Center and charged as follows:
Taylor Levario:
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Possession of Marijuana
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Improper Backing
*No Driver’s License
Bradley Grisaffe:
*Possession with Intent to Distribute Oxycodone
*Possession of Hydrocodone
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Both Levario and Grisaffe were incarcerated pending bond hearings.
Narcotics/Firearms Arrest
Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Tyler Tillman, 23, of 1401 Plantation Road, Thibodaux. LA, on drug and weapons charges following an incident early Saturday morning at a Labadieville bar.
Deputies were dispatched to the lounge in reference to two individuals on the premises with firearms in their possession. Upon arrival, deputies located and approached the two subjects and both began to run. Deputies pursued Tillman and were able to arrest him. Deputies did a pat down search at which time a quantity of MDMA (Ecstasy) was seized and a 9mm handgun from Tillman.
The subject was arrested, transported to the Assumption Parish Detention Center and booked on charges of:
*Possession of MDMA (Ecstasy)
*Possession of a Firearm in the Presence of Controlled Dangerous Substances
*Possession of a Firearm in an Alcohol Beverage Outlet
*Three Counts Resisting an Officer
Tillman was incarcerated pending a bond hearing. Deputies are attempting to identify the second
suspect.
Domestic abuse battery/ second degree battery arrest
Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Joseph Gilchrist, Jr., 25, 111 Elaine Street, Bayou L’Ourse, LA, on charges related to a domestic incident.
Deputies responded to a Morgan City medical facility on August 17, 2017 in reference to a female who had been severely beaten in the early morning hours of August 16, 2017. Detectives conducted a follow-up investigation and determined that there was probable cause to obtain warrants for Gilchrist’s arrest.
A uniformed patrol officer conducting a warrants check in Bayou L’Ourse located Gilchrist. The subject was placed under arrest, transported to the Assumption Parish Detention Center and booked on counts of:
*Second Degree Battery (Felony)
*Domestic Abuse Battery Involving Strangulation (Felony)
*Aggravated Assault (Misdemeanor)
Gilchrist was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
Traffic stop/ narcotics arrest
Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest Scott Rivere, 36, of 763 St. Vincent Road, Napoleonville, LA, on charges related to a traffic stop early Thursday evening near Paincourtville, LA.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation. Deputies assisted by narcotics division officers executed a traffic stop on the vehicle and proceeded to interview the driver and a passenger.
Based on those interviews and other observations and circumstances, deputies searched the suspect as well as the automobile and subsequently recovered a quantity of cocaine.
The suspect, Scott Rivere, was placed under arrest, transported to the Assumption Parish Detention Center and booked on charges of:
*Possession of Cocaine
*Disregarded Stop Sign
Rivere was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
Residential burglary arrest
Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Ryan Vaughn, 33, of 1057 Tower Tank Road, Stephensville, LA, in connection with a residential burglary on May 19, 2017 in Bayou L’Ourse.
On that date, Sheriff’s deputies responded to a home burglary at a location in a residential subdivision. Deputies began an investigation, interviewing various witnesses and viewing video surveillance. In doing so, Ryan Vaughn was developed as a suspect in the case.
Witnesses identified a vehicle similar to that driven by Vaughn as having been in the area of the crime.
The next day, the victims observed the pick-up truck driven by Vaughn in Terrebonne Parish.
The Sheriff’s Office was contacted and stopped the vehicle. The truck was towed and a search warrant was executed, resulting in the seizure of items stolen in the burglary.
Vaughn was charged in Terrebonne Parish and remained in that facility until Tuesday.
Vaughn was transported to Assumption Parish where he was booked on warrants for:
*Simple Burglary
*Felony Criminal Damage to Property
*Felony Theft
Vaughn was jailed pending a bond hearing.
Felony Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile arrest
Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Jonathan Savoie, age 22, of 7479 Highway 1, Donaldsonville, LA, on sex crimes charges.
In March of 2017, detectives received information that the suspect, Jonathan Savoie had engaged in consensual sex with a 16-year- old juvenile at a party a month earlier than the reported date.
Detectives initiated an investigation including interviews with the victim as well as Savoie.
Based on those interviews, detectives did determine that consensual sex had occurred. Savoie would have been 21 at the time. Detectives applied for and received an arrest warrant for Savoie.
The suspect was arrested at a residence in Pierre Part on Monday. Savoie was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on a count of:
*Felony Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile
Savoie remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
