Wal-Mart, CVS, Lowes Fraudulent Purchases

Ascension Parish Chief Deputy Tony Bacala is asking for the public's

assistance in identifying several females responsible for unauthorized

use of a stolen credit cards and a checkbook.

On September 15, 2010 an individual's wallet was stolen from the

Gonzales Wal-Mart and is being investigated by Gonzales P. D. The victim

later reported to GPD that the stolen credit cards and checkbook was

used to make purchases of over $2,000 at the Gonzales Wal-Mart and

Kmart.

The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office also received reports that the

stolen credit cards and checkbook was used to make purchases of over

$4,000 at Lowes, Wal-Mart and CVS located in the parish. The

unauthorized purchases consisted of flat screen TV's and gift cards.

The surveillance video at Wal-Mart in Prairieville captured three

females making the unauthorized purchases.

Purchases were also made purchases at stores in the Hammond and New

Orleans area.
