Ascension Parish's Sheriff's Office continues to make arrests
Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Major Kevin Hanna reported that the Sheriff’s Office is continuing its efforts in the Parish to arrest individuals who fail to appear in court after being arrested on felony and misdemeanor criminal charges.
Persons who are arrested on criminal charges are entitled to a bond. Upon bonding from jail, the individual is given notice to be in court on a specific date.
The following individuals ignored their court date which subsequently led to a bench warrant being issued by the court for failure to appear:
Jeffrey Clements, 45, of 38549 Camp Drive, Prairieville, is wanted on a felony bench warrant for possession of stolen things.
Donald Devall Jr., 47, of 12311 O’Neal Road, Gonzales, is wanted on a felony bench warrant for domestic abuse battery.
Ahren Seaton, 37, of 328 W. New River Road, Gonzales, is wanted on a felony bench warrant for possession of CDS II.
Aaron Adams, 27, of 42490 Lori Road, Gonzales, is wanted on a felony bench warrant for auto insurance policies “insurance fraud.”
Timyrus Jenkins, 20, of 2824 S. Burnside Ave., Gonzales, is wanted on a felony bench warrant for second-degree battery.
In an effort to reduce these felony bench warrant numbers, twice a month the Sheriff’s Office is airing a photograph and name of a person that has failed to appear in court, Major Hanna said.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office at (225) 621-INFO (4636) or Crime Stoppers at (225) 344-STOP (7867).
