BELLE ROSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the Monday arrest of Cohnor C. Gray, 17, of 221 La. 998, Belle Rose, in connection with an armed robbery last month in Belle Rose. This marks the third arrest in the series of events leading up to the crime and additional arrests are likely, Falcon reports.

Jai’eres Bright, 19, of 108 Blackwell Lane, Belle Rose and Bruce Landry, 21, of 191 Grisaffe Lane, Belle Rose became suspects early in the investigation which resulted in their arrest.

The Sheriff’s Office responded to the armed robbery complaint and spoke to Joshua Repp, 17, of 119 Oak Lane, Pierre Part. Repp indicated that a meeting had been set up with individuals for Repp to sell a shotgun.  Upon arrival at the pre-determined location, Repp and his juvenile associate were robbed at gunpoint.  Investigators later determined that the shotgun stolen in the armed robbery had previously been reported stolen in a Pierre Part burglary. Upon questioning, Repp admitted his involvement in the burglary.

In connection with Gray’s arrest, he remains in the parish jail pending a bond hearing.
