COVID-19 in schools: See the parishes leading Louisiana in K-12 infections as of Nov. 24

The Louisiana Department of Health issues weekly updates on reported COVID-19 cases in schools, including adults and students.
Totals have reset for this academic year.
Across the state, 437 new student cases were reported Nov. 15-21, as were 66 new cases among adults.
In total, there have been 24,887 student cases identified this academic year and 2,959 adult cases.
The reports tell how many schools in a parish have agreed to provide updates but do not give a specific district or campus breakdown of positive cases.
As of the Nov. 24 LDH report, the parishes with the highest totals in student cases are:
- St. Tammany: 2,273
- Rapides: 1,498
- Orleans: 1,474
- Lafayette: 1,409
- Livingston: 1,236
The parishes with the most student cases reported Nov. 15-21are:
- Washington: 43
- St. Tammany: 38
- Orleans: 33
- Lafayette: 31
- Jefferson: 30
The parishes with the most total cases among faculty, staff and volunteers are:
- St. Tammany: 278
- Livingston: 224
- Lafayette: 190
- Orleans: 180
- Rapides: 152
The parishes with the most cases reported Nov. 15-21 among adults are:
- Orleans: 10
- East Baton Rouge: 7
- St. Tammany: 6
- Lafayette: 6
- Vermilion: 6
- Jefferson: 5
