Student Council Updated
DONALDSONVILLE – Donaldsonville High School has a new appointed student council for the freshmen, sophomore, junior and senior classes. It is a new step for Donaldsonville High so that the students can have more say in what activities they can participate in and how things are done, so that we the students can benefit from the actions taken.
Each class can only have say in what their class can partake in, so that there is no one from another class taking from or adding on to what another class can or cannot do.
Freshman Class: President: Jeffrey Johnson; Vice President: Tre’Von Mitchell; Secretary: India Wilson; Treasurer: Prelliana Wilson and Class Representative: Jada Butler.
Sophomore class: President: Darell Honora, Jr; Vice President: Whitney Baker; Secretary: Cambrie Reed; Treasurer: Zahria Victor; Class Representative: Davon Wright.
Junior Class: President: Keshawn Smith; Vice President: Kaleb Cayette; Secretary: Janira Collier; Treasurer: Kayla Daigle; Class Representative: Aaliyah Dunn.
Senior Class: President: Eldridge Lewis; Vice President: Lawrence Brown, III; Secretary: Mekhia Gauthier; Treasurer: Amber McKInney; Class Representative: Kebrielle Arnaud.
It is the council’s responsibility to make sure everything is running smoothly within their class. This makes things easier—when a student has a problem they their appointed president goes to administration to talk it out and come to a compromise—instead of everyone complaining to administration about things they think can be done better. All in all, congratulations to each class and good luck operating your class to its best potential for the 2015-16 school year.
