Royal "Buck" Harvey Sr., a native of Barton and resident of Donaldsonville was entrusted into God's loving care Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at Gonzales Health Care Center at 2:38 p.m.. He was 75 and a retired carpenter. Visitation at Demby & Son Funeral Home June 8 from 3-5 p.m. Religious service June 9 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Baton conducted by Rev. Christopher Smith Sr. Interment in the Church Cemetery. He is survived by his former wife, Sadie Harvey; one daughter and son-in-law, Norma and Hansel Blanchard of Donaldsonville; two step-daughters and their husbands, Hyacinth and Michael Blain and Renee and Marcel Smith Sr. all of Donaldsonville; five sons and three daughters-in-law, Royal Jr. and Pamela Harvey, Thomas Sr. and Patrice Harvey, Audis Harvey, Arlen Harvey and Randy and Catherine Harvey; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Christine and Felton Nelson, Josie and Steve Nicolas, Annie and Roland Gaines and Barbara and Ronald Henry; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, Walter and Dorothy Harvey, Willard and Rosie Harvey, Alfred Harvey and Larry Harvey; 27 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, James and Castoria Harvey, a daughter, Judy Bougere; two sisters, Ida and Oraline Harvey and four brothers, James, Joe, Johnny and George Harvey. Demby & Son in charge of arrangements.
