Harvey John Mabile Sr., a native of Plattenville and resident of Pierre Part, was entrusted into God's loving care Thursday, June 12, 2008 at 7:10 a.m. in Thibodaux. He was 66 and a retired tugboat captain with Cooper T. Smith. Visitation at Assumption Catholic Church in Plattenville June 13 from 8 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. conducted by Rev. Trey Nelson. Entombment in church mausoleum. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Gregoire Mabile of Plattenville; one daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Fred Beebe of Prairieville; three sons and daughters-in-law, Brent and Celeste Mabile of Belle Rose, Harvey Jr. and Sherry Mabile of Luling and Kirk and Kandy Mabile of Plattenville; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Herman and Ilar Mabile of Pierre Part, Irvin and Gloria Mabile of Pierre Part and Gil and Kim Mabile of Labadieville; and eight grandchildren, Kristina Beebe, Denise Mabile, Joseph Mabile, DeShae Mabile, Spencer Mabile, Seth Mabile, Emily Mabile and Beau Mabile. Preceded in death by parents, Elize and Aniase Blanchard Mabile and one sister, Eve Ann Albarado.
