Marilyn Jean Wisby, a native of Sumner, Iowa and resident of Patterson was entrusted to God's loving care Saturday, June 14, 2008 in Morgan City. She was 78 and a retired fork lift operator with Amana Refrigeration. A time of remembrance and reflection will be observed Wednesday, June 18, 2008, from 4 until 6 p.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home. Wisby wished to be cremated. She is survived by one sister Janet Kay Geater of Pierre Part; two nieces Rachelle Gamblin of Kemper, Texas, and Lori Touchet of Kaplan; three great nephews Aaron Moss of Kaplan, Richard Meyer and Cory Meyer both of Morgan City; and a great-great niece Kylie Marie Moss of Kaplan, LA. Preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Dorothy Fridley Leach and her husband Axel Wisby. She worked in an ice cream parlor years ago where she met the love of her life Axel. Upon his passing, she bought a working farm with her best friend Jean, where she worked very hard digging and planting.
