Octave Joseph Chedotal, a native of Paincourtville, resident of Belle Rose  and former resident of Port Allen was entrusted into God's loving care Monday, June 30, 2008 at 8:05 a.m. in Belle Rose. He was a plumber and a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Pacific during World War II. Visitation at Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville July 2 from 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Jude Catholic Church in Belle Rose July 2 at 11 a.m. conducted by Fr. Jason Labbe`. Interment in St. Elizabeth Catholic Cemetery in Paincourtville. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Anne Belle Landry Chedotal of Belle Rose; one daughter, Cherrel Falcon of Donaldsonville; one sister, Edna Alleman of Paincourtville; one grandchild, Henry Earl Falcon Jr. and spouse Gena Falcon of Crowley and five great grandchildren, Megan Rene` Falcon, Henry Earl Falcon III, Caitlyn Falcon, Blaze Nepveux and Brice Nepveux. Preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Enola Dupre`; one sister, Melvina Braud and one son-in-law, Henry Earl Falcon Sr. He was Fourth Ward Justice of the Peace in Port Allen for 12 years and a belonged to the American Legion in Port Allen.
