Adner John "Porkchop" Leonard, surrounded by family at his bedside on Friday, July 25, 2008, he took his last peaceful breath and parted from his earthly body and joined his mother and father, Lorrena and Emile Leonard, and son, Guy Joseph Leonard, in heaven. A resident and native of Pierre Part, he died at Ochsner Hospital, New Orleans, at age 77. He was a retired dredge boat operator for Jahncke Service Inc. Visiting at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Pierre Part, on Tuesday, July 29, from 8 a.m. until service at 1 p.m. Survived by his wife of 59 years, Inez Cavalier; two daughters, Joyce Daigle and husband Daniel of Pierre Part, and Lisa Borne and husband Jeremy of Belle River; three sons and spouses, Sterling and Vicky Leonard, Terry and Janel Leonard and Stacy and Annette Leonard, all of Pierre Part; one sister, Mazie Landry and husband Leonard of Stepansville; one brother, Gliet Bessie Leonard and Westwego; grandchildren, Dorian and wife Melanie Leonard, Jody and Janelle Leonard, Cody Leonard, Rhonda and Jeremy Latino, Kellie and Lee Plaisance, Guy and Tonja Daigle, Nicholas Daigle, Terry "T.J." Leonard, Blair, Paul, Austin and Kaci Leonard and Laney Borne and 10 great-grandchildren who lovingly called him "Paw Paw," Brayden, Baylor, Brooks, Bryce, Ashlyn, Alexia, Maia, Toby, Signy and Holden. Also preceded in death by his sister, Ella Mae Leonard Landry and two brothers, Leslie and Henry Leonard. Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Thank you, Mom, for your unselfish and undying love for Dad while taking care of him until the very end. Peace be with you Dad, until we meet again. Your loving children.
