Meredith Juan Landrum Nicholas, 66, of Flowood, formerly of Laurel, died Wednesday, August 11, 2010, in Flowood. Funeral services were held Saturday, August 14 at 10:30 a.m. at Memory Chapel with burial at Good Hope Cemetery in Jones County where Rev. Bill Myers officiated.

Meredith was an intensive care nurse at River Oaks Hospital in Jackson. During the course of her nursing career she worked at Perry General Hospital, Laurel General, South Central Regional Medical Center and River West Medical Center in Plaquemine. She was at one time a resident of Donaldsonville and a long time companion and dearest friend of Bob Prejean. She is preceded in death by her sister, Beverly Barnes.

Survivors include four sons, Burke Nichols and wife Kaleigh of Batesville, Miss., Michael Nichols and wife Kimberly of Jackson, Miss., Jody Nichols and wife Tanya of Laurel, Miss., and Scott Nichols and wife Tammy of Laurel, Miss., nine grandchildren, one brother, Keith Landrum and sister Judy Adams, both of Landrum community.

Pallbearers were Justin Nichols, Trent Nichols, Josh Nichols, Landon Nichols, Kaine Nichols, Gabe Nichols, Mason Nichols, Eric Adams, and Kirk Landrum.

Visitation was held at 9 a.m. until service Saturday morning at Memory Chapel of Laurel, Miss., which was in charge of arrangements. To view and sign the guestbook, visit
