Obituary: Joseph Green, Jr.

"Daddy Bubba" as he was affectionately called, is a native of St. James and a resident of Lemannville.  Green was a member of the United States Army WWII, Construction Worker, Carpenter Helper, and a member of the Local Union 1177.

Visiting at Buena Vista Baptist Church, Lemannville on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 9:00a.m. until religious services at 111:00a.m.  Conducted by Rev. Dr. Joseph Coleman, Sr. Interment in church cemetery.

He leaves to mourn his three daughters and two sons-in-law; Inez and Roger Anderson and Nancy and Joel Duronslet both of Baton Rouge, and Catherine Stevenson of Donaldsonville; Two sons and a daughter-in-law; Pernell and Troylyn Green of Belle Rose, and Leroy Green of Lemanville; Two sisters: Octavia (Burbank) Smith, and Enola Harris; One sister-in-law Eva Green of Vacherie; Twenty(20) grandchildren, Thirty Seven(37) Great Grandchildren, Four(4) great great grandchildren, one(1) god child: the late James Coleman, Three(3) devoted friends Lloyd Linton, Benjamin Buttler, and Uylsys Wire; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Preceded in death by his wife Jennie Smith Green, his parents, two sons Joseph "Bup" Green III and Eldridge "Koe" Green Sr., three sisters, three brothers, and one great-great grandchild.
