A Mass of Christian Burial for Anthony “Tony” Fiorenza will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2011, in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Catholic Church with Rev. Dan O’Connor and Rev. Msgr. Steve Testa officiating. Interment will be in Alexandria Memorial Gardens, Woodworth under the direction of Kramer Funeral Home.

Visitation waas held from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 15 at Kramer Funeral Home. A recitation of the Holy Rosary followed at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.

Tony Fiorenza, 89, of Alexandria, passed away March 12, 2011, in the V.A. Medical Center, Pineville.

He is preceded in death by two brothers and one sister, Joseph Fiorenza, Theresa Archer and Albert Fiorenza.

Tony was a member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church where he served as an usher for many years and a longtime member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in World War II. He devoted his life to his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of sixty four years, Connie Fiorenza of Alexandria, four sons, Ron Fiorenza and his wife, Patrice of Alexandria, David Fiorenza and his wife, Kathleen of Richmond, Virginia, Alan Fiorenza and his wife, Patricia and James Fiorenza and his wife, Sharon all of New Orleans, ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one sister, Joyce Burgess of Dallas, Texas.
