Obit: Walter “Walter Mac” Carl Morris Jr.

Walter “Walter Mac” Carl Morris Jr. was a construction worker. He was a native of Paincourtville and a resident of Donaldsonville. He died on Wednesday, July 6 at Prevost Memorial Hospital. He was 33.

Visitation was held at Demby and Son Funeral Home in Donaldsonville on Friday, July 15 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and resumed at Mt. Triumph Baptist Church at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 16. Religious service was held at 11 a.m. conducted by Rev. Carnell Joseph and Interment followed in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his mother Cynthia M. Mitchell, his father and step-mother Walter Sr. and Nora Morris. One daughter, Alynzia Morris of Gonzales, one son Devon Hamond of Gonzales, one sister, Wanda Mollere of Donaldsonville, one brother, Leroy Mollere of Donaldsonville, maternal grandmother, Everlina Mollere, seven step-sisters and step-brothers, three nieces, two nephews, aunts, uncles, and other relatives.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Murry Mollere Sr., paternal grandparents Simuel and Nora Lee Morris.
