Obit: GRAY, JR. JOHN

John Gray Jr., a welder, died Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at 11:40 a.m at his residence. He was 55. He was a native and resident of Donaldsonville.
Visitation was held at Demby&Sons Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, January 9 and religious service was held at Buena Vista Baptist Church on Tuesday, January 10 at 11 a.m. conducted by Rev. Dr. Joseph Coleman Sr.
Survivors include mother and step-father Clara Mae and Horace Williams of Donaldsonville and one daughter Cheyell Javon Gray of Lemanville.
Two sisters and a brother-in-law, Carol and Walter Simmons of Plaquemine and Loretta Grant of Donaldsonville. Four brothers and two sisters-in-laws, Jimmy Gray, Russel and Janice Gray, all of Maryland. Two step-sisters, Celestine Dright and Maxine Dright of Donaldsonville. Two grandsons, Jerrell and Ja-Darius Rome. Two godchildren, Bennyka Vessel and D’Quincy Green. A devoted friend Joyce Ross and her siblings and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father John Dright.
