Obit: Chris Leboeuf

You left us way too early, but God had another plan for you. Christine Lyle LeBoeuf, 63, a native of Houma and a resident of Donaldsonville passed away peacefully in her home on Friday March 2, 2012. She was employed by the Assumption Parish School Board as a teacher at Assumption High in Napoleonville.
A member of the Red Hat Society, Nicholls State Hall of Fame in Education, Order of Athena Women’s Organization, former Recreation Director for the City of Donaldsonville, and mentor/educator at numerous other area schools.
Survived by her husband of 43 years, Thomas “Sach” LeBoeuf; son, Troy and wife Ashley of Donaldsonville. Daughter Mia LeBoeuf of Gonzales, and 3 grandchildren; Jackson, Camille, and Harrison. Brother, Renae Lyle and wife Gail of Houma; Sister, Elizabeth (Lyle) Trosclair and husband Dale of Houma; Sister Jeannie (Lyle) and companion Carl LaCoste of Houma, plus many nieces, nephews, and Godchildren. Also survived by her best friend and mother-in-law, Marietta Falcon LeBoeuf of Donaldsonville. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Renae Lyle and Florence Carrere Lyle; great-niece Candace Scurto. She was a graduate of Terrebonne High School and Nicholls State University. An avid Assumption Mustang fan and a person who never met a stranger. The impact she made on people is evident by speaking to so many people. Her students were her pride and joy. Her grandkids were her world.
Visitation was held on Wednesday March 7, 2012 at Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville from 5pm to 9pm. and will resume on Thursday March 8, 2012 from 8am to 9:45am. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at Ascension of Our Lord Church in Donaldsonville at 10:00 a.m. Officiated by Father Paul Yi. Entombment to follow at Ascension of Our Lord Mausoleum. Special thanks to Thibodaux Regional Hospital, Thibodaux Family Practice, and CIS of Thibodaux. Pallbearers will be Dale Trosclair, Carl LaCoste, Renard Falcon, Lamar Landry, Michael Tortorich, Jason Lyle, and Jamie “Fats” Hurry. Honorary Pallbearer is Nicky Falsetta.
