Do you realize the assignment Jesus presented to the Church is coming closer and closer to an end?  When I was young and full of energy the elders talked about the world coming to an end.   Their conversations didn’t have a great deal of significance in my life back then, but now, wisdom has taken its rightful place in my heart, revealing truth according to scripture.    Either I was just too focused on myself to care or so naive I just didn’t understand.

Today, we are watching the hands of time coming rapidly to a pivotal point.   Those who are really in tune with this phase of life may recall these frequent words, “ TIME IS WINDING UP,” as words of warning for all who desire to believe.

The seasons, Brethren, you have no need that I write unto you.  For yourselves know perfectly that the Day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.  For when they shall say, Peace and safety: then sudden destruction comes upon them as travail upon a woman with child: and they shall not escape.” (1st Thessalonians 5:1-4)

Our assignment is not any different from that of John the Baptist, who announced the coming of Our Lord and Savior.  We all must approach each moment as if the Lord will suddenly appear.  The Bible proclaims “But of the times and John baptized Jesus, the Bible declares, “ And the Holy Spirit descended in a bodily shape like a Dove upon Him, and a Voice came from Heaven, which said, You are My Beloved Son; in You I am well pleased.” (Luke 3:22)  Just as Jesus heard from His Father God, we must long to hear the voice of Our Father declare, “Well Done”!

Jesus is Coming Back Again to receive His own.   Baptism, Church attendance, doing good deeds, nor reading your Bible daily, will determine your destiny.  All this is good and profitable, but God is concerned about your heart condition.  John cry was, “Repent for the kingdom of Heaven is at hand.”  True Repentance, Love and Forgiveness, will grant you access into God’s presence because of His Grace.

I will end this article with The Parable of the Ten Virgin, “ Five of them were wise, and five were foolish.  They who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them.  But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.  While the bridegroom, tarried, they all slumbered and slept.  And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.  Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.  And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.  But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you:  but go you rather to them who sell, and buy for yourselves.  And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they who were ready went in with him to the marriage:  and the door was shut.  Afterward came also the other virgins, saying Lord, Lord, open to us.  But He answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.  Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of Man cometh.” (Matthew 25:2-13)  WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?
