Rejoice evermore

Minister Marienetta Williams

The believers in Jesus Christ have every reason to rejoice in the Lord.  In spite of the problems we face the Bible encourages us to, “REJOICE EVERMORE.” (1st Thessalonians 5:16)  This exuberant praise should not be dictated by our feelings but exercised because of our faith in God.  The very breathe of life would not have been possible today had it not been for the GRACE of a loving FATHER who loves us despite of what we had done.

“This is the day which the LORD has made; we will REJOICE and be glad in it.”  Declare this with all of your being, allowing the joy of the Lord to be your strength.  Giving thanks unto the Lord with a pure heart will change the course of your day giving you a brighter outlook and outcome.

We have been given a new day to complete the assignments placed before us but instead of complaining face them REJOICING.   Philippians 4:4 says, “REJOICE in the Lord always:  and again I say, REJOICE.”  Your emotional state depends solely on the actions you desire to erupt from your soul.  Fill it with love, joy, peace and forgiveness, then, out of the abundance of the heart this same spirit will freely flow back to you keeping you in perfect peace.

There are many scriptures God has given to make sure we keep REJOICING in our most difficult times.  Maybe as you are reading this article today you are experiencing extreme challenges, but God always gives His people what they need to encourage their hearts in any circumstance.

Today the word of the LORD is extended to all who believe that He is the only source of joy. If it was not for Him on our side where would we be?  We should give God thanks for the blessings we enjoy each day.  Psalm 117:1-2 declares, “O praise the LORD, ALL YOU NATIONS:  PRAISE Him, all you people.  For His merciful kindness is great toward us:  and the truth of the LORD endures forever.  Praise you the LORD.”

Praise should be an automatic expression of love to our God.  Man should not have to force another man to praise God.  He only desires praise from the heart because of His love for us that’s why He sacrificed His Only Begotten SON JESUS.  We should forever lift our voices in songs and prayers of thanksgiving for freedom to express our faith publicly.  “REJOICE EVERMORE” to the KING of GLORY!
