As a C.H.A.N.G.E. writer my goal is to promote change in regards to equality among all races, and ensure that perspective is not the new “style” of America. I wanted to use my writings to demonstrate my concern of others and myself.

As a C.H.A.N.G.E. writer, my goal is to not only to promote change in my race, but to evoke change in all races. I want racism to completely disappear, dissolve, and disintegrate its self from mankind completely. I want to instill positivity in my race and provide ways in which the stereotypical black person can change for the better. My goal is to put every African-American on the same page for academic excellence, financial stability, and professionalism. I doing this will not only be in favor of my race, but a blueprint for other races to pay these ideas forward as well. This way, we will have an utmost thriving society and a stronger sense of racial pride throughout all races.

As a C.H.A.N.G.E writer my goal is to inspire others of the same race, of different races, younger and older age groups and of the opposite sex to not be afraid to step into someone else’s shoes. When I speak about the issues of the world and how they impact me I want a male older than 25 to feel what I feel. Instead of everyone saying “that isn’t my problem” or “that doesn’t affect me” I want them to think about who it does affect. There are more people in the world than just you.

As the C.H.A.N.G.E Writer Blaze, my goal is to open a new door of understanding and thinking. My goal is to inquire the opinions of those around me and shape those very ideas into one ultimate conclusion that can change the very way of life. I cannot do this by simply sitting by and just allowing all of these injustices around me to occur and feel nothing from it. I cannot accomplish this without sometimes playing the Devil’s Advocate either. To you I may seem like just another person that knows nothing of what I’m talking about or of any real problems in the world but it is you who has closed off your eyes to see the vast truth that has eluded your grasp for so long. My name is Blaze and I am the C.H.A.N.G.E Writer of Truth and Perception.

As a C.H.A.N.G.E. writer my goal is to not belittle another race, but it is to fix the problems that we have in our community. White, black, Mexican, etc. They all are a part of our community and I want to be able to call each other family. When we first came up with change writers our main goal was to uplift other people so we could all make it. As sweet as Donaldsonville may sound, it’s time to travel and become someone. Once we all make it I want to be able to better Donaldsonville for the next generations to come. How great am I if I am great alone? We need the community as a whole to rise and prove that Donaldsonville can be outstanding like any other city.

As a C.H.A.N.G.E. writer my goal is to make a difference in my community.  I want people to be proud to say they are from Donaldsonville, but the only way that can happen is if we transform Donalsonville in a productive city. We can change Donaldsonville into a productive city if everyone participates. The problem is no one participates when it is something involving the good of the city. It’s my goal to influence others to participate by writing journals.

As a C.H.A.N.G.E. writer my goal is to encourage my generation and leave my mark in some type of way. I want to inform my readers of the feelings that I have towards the inferiority that my race has to carry. I want my writing to inspire others to speak their minds and stand up for themselves and what they believe in. In this world we have to have some kind of self-esteem and courage to make changes and its time we all fill in those shoes. Encourage each other and make sure that we don’t let this angry control our world. It’s time we stand up and CHANGE the black stereotype. It won’t happen overnight, but it is surely worth the fight.

As a C.H.A.N.G.E. Writer my goal is to reach out to many people through my words and spark a difference throughout the community. Too many times have ideas, opinions and thoughts been kept inside and unsaid when they really should have been and this gives us the opportunity to do just that. Our insight and intellect has more power than we know and with the C.H.A.N.G.E. Writers, we are able to get one step closer to making a change. The goal is to inspire others, and call the community or even more people to action where something needs to be done.

As a C.H.A.N.G.E. Writer, my goal is to give back to the community that violence is not the answer to every solution. We need to change people perspectives on African American society, and to show that we are capable of much more and we have the knowledge and creativity to become in their shoes. I will also like to pay it forward to the ones who does not have the right mind set thinking that they cannot do this or that because of the color of the skin. Everyone is capable of something and everyone have a mind to think of they own. My goal, matter fact, I will change my community and make it a place where people will have nationalism and will have something to look back to.

As a C.H.A.N.G.E. Writer, my goal is to make a difference where a difference is needed. I want to change stereotypes and inspire true and universal equality. I understand that may be an unrealistic goal, but that is no reason for us not to try. We are failing and will continue to fail with these “I can’t” and “we can’t” attitudes. If we give up before we even try to change anything, then we give up the right to complain about things that need to be changed. We give up the hope that we have for someone else to step in and change something. If you live with an “I can’t” attitude, then how can you hope that someone else can? We all can and we all should try to inspire change where change is needed.

As a C.H.A.N.G.E.d writer my goal is to allow other people to see the things I am not blinded of in our community. My goal is to notify my community that because things like police killing teenagers don’t occur here doesn’t mean there aren’t things leading up to that problem. My goal is to show teens that they don’t have to plan their future based on their past and present. My goal is to show people what blacks truly have within themselves and not just what people see. My goal is to create a foundation of greatness so that the generations to come can build off it and make the world better.

As a C.H.A.N.G.E. writer my goal is to promote change not just within myself but around my city and hopefully nationwide. I only want to make the world better for myself and the children who have yet to be upon this earth. I want my voice to be heard so that everyone could think the way I do. Having equal rights and being able to vote are both things that were gained. I wish that there could be unity in this country. There should be no more man on man killings, no racism, no dreams lost, and nothing given up.

As a C.H.A.N.G.E. writer my goal is to change people’s lives. I want to change their perception on life. By some people growing up only knowing one perception on life it doesn’t really help them in the future. They grow up believing in one thing, which can turn them into a good person or a rude person. There are certain ways you should handle situations and talk to people. I want people to start seeing what others are going through and how they feel. Once you know what’s really going on in the world then you want be so caution of standing up for yourself or people. I want everyone to get alone treat everyone as equals. I want people to see that every single person in this world is a human begin, we all go through stuff, we all have feelings, and we all want to achieve in this world.

As a C.H.A.N.G.E. Writer my goal is to be the voice for those who are afraid to voice their own. While doing so I will be representing myself also. No I am not a C.H.A.N.G.E. Writer to bring down other races/ethnicities and praise my own. I am simply discussing every day issues and attempting to bring about change in the world. I want my voice to be heard not only locally, but to people everywhere. I want to let everyone know that someone is trying to break racial barriers for the better of ALL people.

As a C.H.A.N.G.E. writer my goal is to be the voice that speaks about the topics that always seem to be covered up. People always want to hide about the real topics that need to be discusses which is what I want to be for people. I want to be able to speak on things that everyone else is afraid to say. My goal is to change the perspective of the negative ideas that influence our society today. A C.H.A.N.G.E. writer is a person that’s supposed to change and bring new ideas to the table, which is the goal that I’m continuing to aim for.

I am a CHANGE Writer. My mission is to promote change within this seemingly one-sided society. If a black teenager can get shot in broad daylight, there is a problem. If a black man can be tackled and choked to death by those ordered to protect, there is a problem. If a black man can shoot another black man with the intent to kill, garnering no remorse for his brother, THERE IS A PROBLEM. The fact that few see fit to discuss these issues is perhaps the saddest, most pressing problem of all. People have always been afraid to address race and racism—like it is something that will go away if ignored long enough. Don’t you realize that racism is a disease? If you ignore a disease, what happens? Does it go away, or does it spread and possibly affect others?  As a CHANGE Writer, my goal is to address these issues directly and probe people to think about the climate of this ‘equal’ nation.
