Thankful hearts making melody unto the Lord

Minister Marienetta Williams

We can reflect on a year that’s steadily approaching its end.  I’m sure we can say without a doubt there have been many challenges we faced.  But life is supposed to be filled with a mixture of circumstances.  God never desired for any of His creation to stand alone during the trials, nor feel helpless and grow weak in your fight.  No, life is geared to strengthen those who have, “THANKFUL HEARTS MAKING MELODY UNTO THE LORD,” even in your worst trials.

Do you understand that there is always someone experiencing a greater test than you?  This is why complaining does not help negate the matter but prayers and praise does.  I DARE you to praise and worship in the midst of your trouble.  The Bible says, “But You are Holy, O You Who inhabits the praises of Israel.”  Psalms 22:3 Since God has no respect of person, He honors all who honor Him.  Singing unto the Lord is a way of expressing to God your heartfelt joy of knowing Him as your Father.  And His Love for you can never be compared with human love and compass.  Psalm 34:8 says, “O taste and see that the LORD is good:  blessed is the man who trusts in Him.”

Trusting in the Lord from one season of life to another will guarantee you a SOURCE of POWER that will never fail you.  “THANKFUL HEARTS MAKING MELODY UNTO THE LORD,” can have confident knowing, “The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and His ears are open unto their cry.  The righteous cry and the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.  The Lord is near unto them who are of a broken heart; and saves such as be of a contrite spirit.  “Many are the afflictions - of the righteous but the Lord will deliver them.” Psalms 34:15, 17-19.Praise and Worship will bring you into God presence.  His anointing on your life will destroy the yolk and lift your heavy burden.  So keep on praising and giving Him Thanks.

This is a song you can sing or just hum as a reminder of how good God really is, as you complete this year in FAITH.  AMEN

You Can have A Song In Your Heart In The Night

Ira Stanphill

1.         You can have a melody down in your heart

When it’s aching, almost breaking

Even though the sorrow makes the teardrop start

You can have a melody down in your heart.

CHORUS

You can have a song in your heart in the night,

After every trial, after every mile

Anyone can sing when the sun’s shining bright

But you need a song in your heart at night.

2. Do not let your worries drive your song away,

Though tomorrow brings its sorrow

Just remember after nighttime comes the day

Do not let your worries drive your song away.

3. Soon the night will pass and morning bring the day

I am longing for its dawning

Until then we’ll labor here and watch and pray

Soon the night will pass and morning bring the day.
